Magery
Tired of hopping moongates and running all over the place? Need to compete better in PvP? Just wanna carry on your D&D legacy as the WIZARD?! Look no further.
Magery is often looked at by newbies as an incredibly hard skill to gain, yet is actually quite easy if you've got a bit of gold for reagents.
Supplies:
-Spellbook, with the following spells:
--Greater Heal
--Reveal
--Mana Vampire
-Reagents
--If you're a newer player, I suggest just buying reagents as you go along. You never know what spell will slow you down and will need more reagents. You also will have the oppurtunity to save money, and invest in macroing whenever you have the time/money.
NOTE: If you start with 50 Magery, YOU CAN SKIP THE GREATER HEAL STEP.
Setting Up The Macro (Greater Heal)
At this point, we're going to assume that you have little INT and little to no Meditation. We'll simply leave the meditation out of this macro, since it won't be effective at such a low level.
Let's get it set up:
1.) Make a new macro and name it GH Magery, or whatever tickles your fancy.
2.) Begin recording.
3.) Cast the Greater Heal spell, and target yourself.
4.) Stop recording.
5.) Right-click the Target Self step in the Razor macro and drop to Insert Pause/Wait. Make the pause 1000ms long.
6.) Click the Loop checkbox.
Use this macro until you are at about 50 Magery, buying reagents (referred to henceforth as "regs") when neccessary.
Setting Up The Macro (Reveal)
1.) Make a new macro and name it Reveal Magery, or whatever tickles your fancy.
2.) Begin recording.
3.) Cast the Reveal spell, and target any tile on the ground around your character.
4.) Stop recording.
5.) Right-click the Target step in the Razor macro and drop to Insert Pause/Wait. Make the pause 1000ms long.
6.) Right-click the Pause step in the Razor macro and drop to Insert "If" Conditional. Make it "If Mana <= 19".
7.) Right-click the Target step in the Razor macro and drop to Convert to: Relative Location.
8.) Right-click the Target step in the Razor macro and drop to Begin Recording Here.
8.) Use the Meditation skill.
10.) Stop recording.
11.) Right-click the Meditation UseSkill and go to Insert Pause/Wait, and go to Wait For. Change it to Wait For Mana >=. In the last box, type the multiple of 20 closest to your INT, rounded down.
11.) Right-click the Wait for Mana >=, and drop to Insert EndIf.
12.) Click the Loop checkbox.
The macro should look something like this:
[[CastSpell Reveal (#48)
Wait For Target
Target RelLoc (x,x)
Pause 1.00 sec
If ( Mana <= 19 )
UseSkill Meditation
Wait for Mana >= xx (the multiple of 20 closest to your INT, rounded down)
End If]]
If one of your steps is 1 spot out of order, you can move it by right clicking it and going to Move Up or Move Down.
You can use this macro into the low 90s. Once there, it's time to switch to Mana Vampire.
Setting Up The Macro (Mana Vampire):
1.) Make a new macro and name it MV Magery, or whatever tickles your fancy.
2.) Begin recording.
3.) Cast the Mana Vampire spell, and target you character.
4.) Stop recording.
5.) Right-click the Target step in the Razor macro and drop to Insert Pause/Wait. Make the pause 1000ms long.
6.) Right-click the Pause step in the Razor macro and drop to Insert "If" Conditional. Make it "If Mana <= 39".
7.) Right-click the Target step in the Razor macro and drop to Begin Recording Here.
9.) Use the Meditation skill.
10.) Stop recording.
11.) Right-click the Meditation UseSkill and go to Insert Pause/Wait, and go to Wait For. Change it to Wait For Mana >=. In the last box, type the multiple of 40 closest to your INT, rounded down (80 preferred)
11.) Right-click the Wait for Mana >=, and drop to Insert EndIf.
12.) Click the Loop checkbox.
The macro should look something like this:
[[CastSpell ManaVampire (#53)
Wait For Target
Target Self
Pause 1.00 sec
If ( Mana <= 39 )
UseSkill Meditation
Wait for Mana >= xx (the multiple of 40 closest to your INT, rounded down)
End If]]
If one of your steps is 1 spot out of order, you can move it by right clicking it and going to Move Up or Move Down.
After Mana Vampire, your Magery sould be GMed (100 skill points).
